Diversified Nursing Services offers continuing education for nurses, nursing home administrators, and social workers and is certified by the state of Alabama (provider number ABN PO436).

Diversified Nursing Services is an Approved Provider of Continuing Education in Nursing by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Provider No. ABN PO436.

Diversified Nursing Services is an Approved Provider of Continuing Education in Nursing by the Alabama State Nurses Association (ASNA), an Accredited Approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation. Provider No. 5-105.

Diversified Nursing Services is an Approved Provider for continuing education by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy, The Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy, The Alabama Board of Nursing Home Administrators, and the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners.

All on-site seminars are approved for 7 contact hours for: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. Occupational Therapists may receive appropriate credit for home study as well as on-site seminars.

All on-site seminars are approved for 6 contact hours for Social Workers and Nursing Home Administrators.

 

 

Behind Diversified Nursing Services:

 

Martha Owen, who created Diversified Nursing Services, is founder and former director of the nursing program Wallace State Community College in Selma. She received her BSN from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1958 and graduate degrees from Troy State University. She has received certification in Nursing Continuing Education and Staff Development from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is currently an instructor for and leads DNS.

Robert Owen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Science and Civil Engineering from Auburn University and a Masters of Business Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery. He is the office manager for Diversified Nursing Services, handling registration and scheduling among other duties.

LeAnne Owen received her Bachelor of Science in Public Administration in 1991 from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and studied History at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Graduate School. She is a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist in Birmingham, Alabama. She serves as registrar and multimedia operations expert for DNS.

Bobby Owen graduated from Meadowview Christian School and was a Bellsouth telecommunications service technician for nearly nine years. He now leads field operations for Diversified Nursing Services, including finding and arranging seminar locations.
